I’ve always been a fan of supplemental income ideas. Once you’ve given your soul to ‘The Man’, you’re trapped. It’s especially true once you build your life around a job or career. A part of your mind is duty bound to accept that it’s your ‘lot’ in life. What if the business fails? What if your job is automated? How about redundancy?
Supplemental income ideas can give you a ‘buffer’ so you’re not so dependant on your current income. Ideally, your supplemental income ideas will be capable of surpassing your current salary. This is the key. If your supplemental income is always supplementary, you’re still stuck in your job, even with this income. On the other hand, if it has the ability to surpass your current income, you’ll be much more likely to pursue it for long enough to make this happen. Here’s a few supplementary income ideas which I’ve found on the journey to find the ‘one’ which is scalable and automated.
Skip to the end if you want the short version summary!
Supplemental Income Ideas – 1
One of the first supplementary income ideas I found was through the auction site eBay. I started out just buying and selling items from my house and moved on to car boot sales and antique sales. I eventually found a clever little eBay hack which lets you find bargain items on the site itself. You can then either sell them on Facebook for free using the marketplace or local selling pages, or re-list them back on eBay to get a better price.
The strategy I found uses a clever Misspell tool which you can access here. Use it to find items which are misspelled on eBay. Because they are misspelled, they don’t get the views they should and, as such can often sell for much lower than they are worth. You can read the full strategy for this supplementary income idea in my article how to start a profitable ebay business.
Supplemental Income Ideas – 2
Here’s another clever little ‘hack’ if you’ve got a skill and want to monetise it. By using Google’s Places for Business listings, you can create a business listing completely free. If you pick up a few jobs there’s a nice little earner here. I used this strategy to get some work as a handyman in my local town.Wherever you are based, you can create a business listing and get yourself ranking on the top of Google for your particular business.
This could be a painter and decorators, handyman, music teacher, language teacher or anything else you might be good at. You can build up a free listing and you don’t even need a website to do this. Just head to Google Places for business and create a listing. This is a great supplementary income ideas and if you’ve got a skill of some kind, it’s very cheap and easy to get started. Also checkout my ebook below which explains creating a business listing in more detail.
Supplemental Income Ideas – 3
Car boot sales offer the opportunity to sell your old items but also to run the sales yourself. If you’ve got a tonne of stuff sitting around the house why not find a local car boot sale or sale and take it along? Running your own car boot sale can also be a lucrative supplementary income idea and you can run it on the weekends. You need to find a local field or place big enough to get a good turnout. Run an advert in the local paper and put up some banner adverts advertising locally.
Charge people to bring their cars and for entry. A good turn out can net you a nice little profit, if you get good weather. You can also scout about for bargains to re-list on eBay as per “supplementary income ideas – 1”.
Supplemental Income Ideas – 4
An online business presents an opportunity to anyone with a laptop and an internet connection. Most people simply aren’t aware of the vast opportunity of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a business model which lets anyone benefit from referring people to products and services around the internet. Digital products in particular can earn you 40% of their cost as an affiliate.
Because the internet has a global audience, this has the most potential of all the ideas listed here of surpassing your current income, whatever it is. An internet business can be largely automated too. By building systems and strategies which can run 24 hours a day on complete autopilot, you can send website traffic to offers and services to earn a commission. Regardless of your age and technical experience, you can do this. It does take some time to learn though.
Depending on your circumstance and location, you may be able to sign up as a TV extra. When I worked as a TV extra, I met a lot of people who had their own businesses. This was because they were able to take time out at short notice, something you’ll most likely need to be able to do.
TV extras, or background artists. appear in the background on television to give the scene a more realistic appearance. You get to visit places and do things within your locality which you wouldn’t normally do, and earn money at the same time! Just do a search online for Extras agencies near you. You may have to apply to join an agency and wait a while before any suitable work appears. Work tends to be sporadic and unreliable. Depending where you are though, you may be able to sign with multiple agencies, although some agencies ask for exclusivity.
Here’s a quick summary of the ideas I’ve shared in this article.
Start your own small business selling yourself! Whether you can paint, play an instrument, speak a language or fix someone’s fence, there might be an opportunity to get work locally by using Google Places for business – get a free business listing. Learn how in my ebook.
Car boot sales present 2 opportunities both for running them yourself and for buying and selling in them. Start your own car boot business. Book a field, advertising and charge for entry.
Start your own online business. This simple and effective business system can be used by anyone to build a scalable and profitable online business even with no experience.
Become a TV extra! TV extras agencies offer local work on television and film production. Find an agency near you with a quick online search.

My best supplementary income idea is an online business. Access a free 7 day video series and learn more about how to use a simple business model, even with no previous experience.
There’s lots of websites claiming to give you an “autopilot money maker”. The truth is that it takes much more than buying a simple “set it and forget it” website to make money on the internet. There’s so many hyped up claims on the internet that it’s easy to discount a “truth bomb”!
Why struggle when you can have it easy? Because the easy way is a lie and, actually, it takes a lot more than most people are prepared to commit. But, let’s not get too gloomy about the idea of an autopilot money maker. The idea itself is what kept me going long enough to start seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. From there, it’s just a matter of never giving up!
Autopilot Money Maker
So how do you get an autopilot money maker? How to do you build a website or system which continues to make sales for you and put money in your pocket, without continuing to work? The answer lies in what you’ve done previously. Many online marketers have set up systems and strategies which only require them to work on one thing – marketing. When they ‘crack’ the marketing, they can make sales in their sleep. But before you work on marketing, you need something to market, right? And if you don’t want to be caught up in the business workings, you can use other people’s products.
Using other people’s products means you only need to work at the front end of the business model. The entire ‘back-end’ is an already functioning business which requires no input from you. All you need to do is send customers to the “showroom”. This entire process can be automated. But, and this is a big “but”, so to speak, this takes time and effort to learn and implement. But hey, it’s worth it right because ultimately we’re talking about total financial freedom here. No more job ever, no more commute ever, no more annoying bosses, ever. Isn’t that something worth working for?
Autopilot Money Maker – How To Get Started?
You can see the ‘nuts and bolts’ and what’s involved in this whole process in my article autopilot money making system. The basic idea for your autopilot money maker is that of selling other people’s products on the internet. This is a business model known as affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you can link to various products and services on the internet and make commissions based on the sales you have referred.
Amazon, for example, is the largest affiliate program on the internet. Anyone can join Amazon’s affiliate program and link to their products. If you sell something from your link, you earn a commission. Since the internet works 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, you’ll be able to earn from work you have done previously. By setting up automated systems, you can earn in a number of different ways.
Organic Traffic
For example, this article may or may not start ranking on the organic search engines for the keyword “autopilot money maker”. If someone signs up to my email list and purchases a product from me, I earn a commission based on the sale. This is one strategy for getting targeted website traffic to your website. From there you can recommend various products and services which you think your visitors might appreciate. If you can generate organic traffic to your website, and effectively send customers to the right products, you can earn commissions on autopilot, based on the content you generate.
You can also create videos and upload them to YouTube – known as ‘v’logging’. V’logging and blogging are two strategies for generating free organic traffic with the intention of sending that traffic to affiliate products which may be suitable for visitors.
Paid Traffic – Autopilot Money Maker
Paid traffic is a much faster way of generating traffic to your affiliate products. With paid traffic, you can ‘turn on’ traffic by opening a campaign. Paid traffic can also be scaled up in a way that organic traffic cannot. Organic traffic takes time to build up. Paid traffic costs money but can be scaled up very quickly by increasing your advertising budget. So, once you find a profitable campaign, you can simply turn up your advertising budget. With organic traffic, you can’t do this. Successful organic content can’t necessarily be replicated as easily.
Of course paid traffic costs money and initially you are likely to spend money you don’t get back too. That’s because it takes a bit of time to understand what works and what doesn’t with organic traffic. However, consider this a worthwhile investment of your time and money. Once you have learned how to create successful paid campaigns, you’re in a much better position to scale up an affiliate marketing campaign and leverage the internet to increase your earning power.
Business Models And Ways Of Marketing
Ideally you should have a product suite if you’re going to use paid advertising. A product suite gives you a much easier way to learn paid strategies, than by using only single products. A single product can pay out a commission of up to 40%, if you choose a digital product.
However, if you choose a product suite which offers:
So What Makes This System An Autopilot Money Maker?
The autopilot of this business system is made up of a few elements. You are of course selling a product on the internet. What product you choose is up to you. You can sell anything on the internet using the skills you can learn in this education platform. The system I am promoting here uses a number of strategies to optimise your earning potential:
Various marketing strategies which can be automated and scaled
Affiliate Products – your product ‘suite’ – sales of which are automated
Multi-tier sales – commissions based on the sales made by your referrals
Subscription products – commissions made on an ongoing basis from your previous sales
So as you can see, the ‘autopilot’ of the business system lets you automate all of the systems which run. You still need to build the systems of course and get it running. This takes time and effort but a lot of the work has already been done for you. The sales system itself is already set up. Your main job is to learn how to market the sales funnel and how to scale this up over time. Once it’s running, you effectively have an autopilot money maker – providing you’re making more money than you’re spending.
The Next Step Of A Marketer
As online marketers build their business systems and start marketing it, they discover what needs to be done to make their business system more efficient. Decreasing the expenditure paid out for advertising is the main focus for many once they get to this point. One of the marketers in the groups of which I’m a member pays out $20,000 a month just in advertising. However, you don’t start at this point.
This just means he’s been successful enough already with his marketing to increase his budget based on his understanding of the business and previous sales. When starting out with a marketing budget most people only use a budget they are willing to lose. This may be only $40-100 a month for many people starting out with this kind of business. As they see results and ‘tweek’ their marketing campaigns, they get better at it. Once they are making a profit consistently with their marketing they can increase their budget, knowing that they will also increase their profit as a result.
Can Anyone Build An Autopilot Money Maker?
Anyone can now learn the skills to enable them to build a fully functional online business from scratch. The building of this system can be done quite quickly and easily. However, there’s much to learn in the developing of the actual business and of yourself. This may require you to learn some new skills and develop beyond your current thinking.
Many “would-be” online marketers give up because they don’t get the success they expect straight away. For those who stick it out, there are large rewards. Having a business which can be largely automated means you can build your business around your lifestyle. Most businesses require you to build your lifestyle around your business.Â
This, and the financial freedom which an online business can bring, are both good reasons not to quit! Most businesses aren’t geared for the kind of scalability which an internet business offers. Locally based businesses, for example, are limited by their geographical location. There’s a limited amount of potential customers within a certain area. Plus, a locally based business requires you to keep turning up, trading your time for money. An online business can be worked at whenever and wherever you choose.
If you’re looking for an off the shelf ecommerce business, there’s a few things to consider. Firstly, how are you going to promote your business? Many off the shelf ecommerce business models offer a model which requires free website traffic. For example, any ecommerce model which uses only Google Adsense adverts to generate revenue. Or are you selling products from Amazon? Low cost physical products only pay out low commissions. Checkout the table below for details.
Off The Shelf Ecommerce – Business Model
An off the shelf ecommerce business should offer multiple ways to earn and a solid business system. For example, affiliate products vary in their commissions structure. Many affiliate products only offer low level commissions and only pay you once. By choosing a product structure which gives you ongoing commissions, you’ll be more likely to be able to make profit within the first year.
Ideally you should choose an off the shelf ecommerce business which offers:
High ticket commissions – This allows you to generate larger profits more easily and quickly. You can more easily scale up your business and offset advertising costs, enabling you to use paid advertising.
Up-sells- Choose an off the shelf ecommerce business which offers commissions on later sales closed after your initial referral; sales closed by a built in sales team which still give you the credit.
Multi-level commissions – This refers to commissions made for sales of your team. Depending on your placement in any ecommerce business means you can make more on the back end, from your referrals.
Memberships/Subscription commissions – with the right off the shelf ecommerce setup, you can earn ongoing commissions from previous sales. Memberships, software and subscription products allow you to do this. Does your off the shelf ecommerce business allow this?
Off The Shelf Business – What You Get
There are various off the shelf website businesses available. Many of these offer to build a website for you. But what about after that? Do you know how to market your website? You’ll need to learn if you don’t already know this. Does your off the shelf business offer to help you with this? Or, are they simply selling you a website which isn’t going to make any money?
Marketing your ecommerce business is probably the most important part of your business, besides the business model itself. Don’t expect your website to get found in the trillions of websites floating around the internet. You have to promote it, or you’ll never get any traffic.
An off the shelf ecommerce website is often sold as an automated business which lets you put your feet up and watch as the money rolls in. However, this isn’t the full story. You definitely want automation in your business model and a sound business system to give you multiple ways to earn from it. But you also need to realistically look at how you’re going to market your website, and how your business model effects this.
Off The Shelf Ecommerce Business – Website
An off the shelf ecommerce business can be set up very quickly with both a website and a ready made sales funnel. Checkout the video below by clicking the image. You’ll see just how quickly you can have a website (and business system), set up and running.
Off The Shelf Ecommerce Website
As you can see, most of the technical aspect of building a website has been removed. This means that anyone can learn how to build an online business without the need for massive technical knowledge. With this business system and education platform, you can also learn all aspects of marketing for your website and integrated sales funnel.
Unless you’re spending several thousands on a pre built money making website, you’ll need to market your website yourself. Even though there is a fully set up and working digital business (access here), you’ll still need to generate traffic to it, in order for it to generate any income. You can also learn how to do this with this same ‘all in one’ digital business system and training platform.
Marketing a website can be done in several ways. According to your preferences and situation you can take one of two routes, or use a bit of both:
Paid advertising
Free Content Generation
Paid advertising is the fastest method of generating traction in your ecommerce business. That’s why you need a business model which pays out the larger amounts if you want to go this route. Free advertising takes time and effort. It can’t be scaled like paid strategies can either. If you can get free traffic, that’s great. But it will depend on your particular business niche, and your ability to create useful content.
So before you rush in, make sure you know a little first about the business model you’re purchasing. Does your off the shelf business let you use paid advertising? If your business model offers high ticket products, subscriptions, back end sales and multi-tier commissions, you’ll be able to use paid advertising which is scalable.
Having an ecommerce business which relies on your building free traffic can take a huge amount of time and effort. Is that what you want for your business? Ultimately an off the shelf ecommerce should have the ability to help you generate more time and financial freedom. You’ll need to learn all aspects of online marketing and how your marketing should fit depending on your business model and particular niche.
Adsense micro niche sites used to be all the rage. You threw up a website based around a keyword rich domain name, left it there, and earned money. I had a number of sites like this myself: a site called tedsheds.net which did rank for a number of years. Then there was a mushroom harvesting website which was top of Google for “when to harvest mushrooms” for ages. I had a number of these tiny micro niche websites which were poised to make money via Adsense income ‘trickles’. They did work for a time too, and I also sold a few affiliate products from some of them.
Adsense Micro Niche Sites
The main problem was, they all fell off the search results, even the ones I worked on tirelessly for years! Unless you’re going to put a lot of work in on these sites to keep them going, you’re better off doing something else with your time. Needless to say none of mine exist any more. It was once a good strategy back when there was much less competition. But now Google won’t even rank a tiny niche website which has just been thrown up. It can take months before they’ll even recognise it. Plus Google is more sophisticated these days. They look for social signals and interaction in order to give new websites any credibility.
You at least need to be passionate about your website, and make it good. Small “throw up” websites built make money seldom offer any value for their visitors, and Google wants value, not crap!
Adsense Micro Niche Websites
If you’re going to roll your sleeves up and make an awesome site around a micro niche, you’ll want to choose something you’re passionate about. Otherwise you won’t be able to write any meaningful content for long. You can of course get someone else to do the writing for you, but that’s going to cost you. You can use sites like fiverr.com to get work done for you.
If you do manage to get your site ranking for your main keywords, you’ll need to make sure there’s enough traffic to them to make it worth your while. This is where you do your research. Using Google’s keyword planner, you’ll want to find the ‘low hanging fruit’ keywords which both offer a reasonable amount of traffic, and are less competitive than most. I use a similar strategy which I explain in my ebook Niche Blogging For Profit.
My mistake was trying to build multiple websites around various niches. By focusing one one specific website, and making sure you align it with your interest or passion, you’ll have much more energy for the long term.
Google’s In Charge
The main problem with Adsense micro niche sites is that Google’s in charge. It’s in charge of whether it ranks your website and it’s in charge of your Adsense account too. I’ve heard of many stories, and known people personally, who have had their Adsense accounts shut down for one reason or another. Often for reasons out of their control. Imagine spending years building a website and earning an income from it, only to lose it all overnight.
Plus you have your website in the first place. This can take months or years of hard work before you see any results. Of course the ultimate goal is to have a passive income. This is worth working for of course, but only if you know what you’re doing. And nobody can ultimately say they do because Google’s algorithms are constantly changing. The ultimate goal of your website should be to offer value to the end user – that is, the person who is using Google’s platform to find information. Do this well and you’re much less likely to get yourself into trouble.
The Alternative – Affiliate Marketing + Paid Advertising
There is another way to make an income from the internet, automate it and turn it into a passive income. If you’re going to go to the trouble of building any Adsense micro niche sites, you might be much better off learning an implementing the various paid advertising strategies.
With paid advertising you can get your account shut down too of course. This is to protect the end user again and with good reason. Follow the terms and conditions and policy guidelines of each advertising platform, and you’ll be ok. Paid advertising strategies are arguable better than struggling for years with Adsense micro niche sites. This is for a number of reasons:
You’re much more in control with paid advertising than attempting to rank anything on Google’s organic search platform
Google want to make money, not give it away. They don’t want to rank websites which cost them money if they don’t have to. I’m not saying they are corrupt, just that they’re a money making business, so there’s a conflict of interest.
Paid advertising has become much more sophisticated with platforms Like Google’s Adwords, Facebook advertising and the many other platforms.
Re-targeting lets you ‘follow’ your website visitors around the web with your targeted adverts
Paid advertising is much more easily scalable – even if your site does rank for your keywords, there’s a limited number of people who are going to your website and clicking your adverts.
Pay per click adverts are growing much further into the organic results in many cases.
They are also less distinguishable from the organic results than they were only a few years ago. Now they are they same colour and there’s more paid ads above the fold (at the top of search results). Check out this article to see the history and changes of Google’s paid for adverts.
Paid Advertising Is Expensive – No Doubt
Yep, paid advertising costs money that’s true. If you’ve got a heap of time and no money, why not build Adsense micro niche sites? That was my logic because I had time, but no money when I started out online. But the niche sites simply didn’t work! I spent all of that time building sites which flopped, when I could have spent the time more productively in pay per click scalable advertising.
The main problem for most is that paid advertising platforms are prohibitively expensive. But there’s a way round this problem – use high ticket product ‘suites’ which offer multiple commission strategies. By choosing affiliate products which offer commissions for:
High ticket items – Larger value digital products help offset advertising costs
Monthly membership products – Subscription products pay you over and over for each sale you make
Up-sells – Choose products which have a suite (range of products). For each after sale purchase from your referral you’ll receive a further commission.
Multi-tier sales – Earn from your referrals sales (according to your business system placement)
Tired of the mundane and looking for alternate career options? In my late 30’s I realised I was in trouble. With no real income and a bunch of part time jobs, I knew things needed to change. I turned to the internet to find a method of making money which I could build around my other incomes. I had a sporadic career in the film industry and was about to start a martial arts school. However, I needed some alternate career options since mine were pretty unrealistic and the wolves were at my door! They had been for a number of years too and, it was slowly getting to me.
Alternate Career Options
I started develping an interest in the internet as a means to make an income several years earlier. I began with ebay. Initially I sold items from my house and then started buying and selling. I found a clever little ‘hack’ which allowed me to find cheap items on ebay itself and then sell them on at a profit. You can see the strategy I used here. The main problem was it was a time heavy strategy and I wasn’t making enough from all my efforts.
Everyone around me was starting families and buying houses. I was still trying to make a career out of the film industry but my spirits were low. I had struggled for too long financially and it was taking its toll. I needed something which could bring in a proper income. I had many jobs over the years but nothing seemed to work for me. I wanted something which meant something to me – meaningful work. I needed some alternate career options which had the potential to give me a solid income but also allow me the flexibility to run my other businesses.
I had bought an ebook from ebay which showed me a tactic to use to build an ebay business. (see link above). The ebook itself seemed like the perfect business model to me. I downloaded the book after buying straight from ebay. The transaction was automated and this struck me as the perfect business model. I later learned how this same model was being used by some very successful online entrepreneurs.
Alternate Career Options – Affiliate Marketing
The model of the ebook I downloaded led me to start creating my own ebooks. I tried to sell them but had no success. My first online sale however came from a business model known as affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is the process of selling someone else’sproduct over the internet for a percentage of the sale. Since there were already products selling successfully over the internet, it made more sense to sell those products than to waste time creating my own (not very good) products!
Digital products in particular offer a larger percentage commission – 40% in most cases. My first sale was of a website building program and it made me around $40 on a $100 sale. Physical products like those you might find on ebay or Amazon tend to pay much less, so digital products seemed like the logical choice. Digital products could also be accessed over the internet (globally) with no delivery costs or storage costs either. That’s why (in part) affiliates can earn so much from selling digital products online.
A digital business model allows anyone to work a business from home or their laptop while working their current job/career. But it also is something which can be built up over time and scaled. This is the huge power of an internet business which many other careers simply can’t compete with – the ability to leverage online sales to generate income.
A Scalable Business Model
Most alternate career options offer another opportunity to trade your time for money. Your income is usually capped too and you’re given only a couple of weeks holiday a year. I wanted something which I could build over time and which meant I was always developing. Many careers are so limited in their potential for both personal growth and income. I wanted both! Not only does an online business demand personal growth for it to work, but you can build and scale it from anywhere from a laptop. As long as you have an internet connection, you can start to learn the skills needed to get your own online business running.Â
You can’t scale your time. This means that if you’re working for a company, and selling your time for money, you’ll never escape! No matter how hard you work or how good you are at your job, you’ll still need it! An online business offers the ability to build multiple income streams from a laptop from anywhere in the world. You can automate sales of digital products and then scale up your business with online advertising and marketing methods. This is how people escape the ‘hamster wheel’ of trading their time for money and working in a meaningless job which is holding them from the life they can be living.
Start Your Own Online Business
I struggled for a long time looking for an online business model which was working and which had some ethos behind it. This online business system and education platform has made it possible for me to work from home and build up a flexible business which I can work around existing commitments and priorities. Most jobs and careers operate the opposite to this. They demand your working hours and limit your income.
An online business has flexible working hours and a potentially unlimited income. Affiliate marketing is a performance related income course however, so not everyone is suited to this business opportunity. For me, it has given me the ability to learn new skills, earn from the internet and access a community of online entrepreneurs who have helped me overcome obstacles to success and focus on the activities needed to grow an online business.
I was always on the hunt for get rich quick schemes that work! I tried all of them over the years. From stuffing envelopes, Forex trading to making money with ebay, Kleeneze, Amway and then on to online affiliate marketing. You name it I tried it! But are there really any get rich quick schemes that actually work?
Get Rich Quick Schemes That Work
There are certainly hundreds on online ‘guru’s’ who claim this is the case. Affiliate marketing, for example is probably one of the best models you can use to ‘get rich quick’. However, even though top affiliates make huge amounts from their online businesses, it has often taken them years to learn how to do. Even though an automated income system can be set up and scaled up, it takes time to build.
The ‘know how’ which affiliates use to scale their businesses has taken them years to understand. It’s true that some affilaites come in to the business and immediately ‘get it’ and have huge success. However, the ones who do this are incredibly focused and in many cases have money in order to invest in the first place. They invest in a good business model, their own education and in paid advertising.Â
Get Rich Quick Schemes That Actually Work
A sclable internet business is probably one of the fastest models you can use to build income quickly. Don’t misunderstand though. It takes time effort and money to get the ball rolling. There’s a few advantages to an internet based business which don’t apply to ‘working for a living’. Working as most people look at it involved trading time for money. If you want to ‘get rich quick’ you need to stop trading time for money.Â
An internet business offers anyone this opportunity: to start a business model which doesn’t involve trading time for money. Not that it’s a get rich quick scheme. It can be but the time it takes will depend on your ability to learn an implement that knowledge and your own personal situation. If you have money to put into online advertising, your business can grow much faster than if you solely focus on free advertising (or content generation).
Fast Money Schemes
If you’re serious about making money online, don’t expect it to all happen overnight. Top affiliates make thousands every week because they have spent time and energy using a business model which allows them leverage. You can’t ever make this kind of money by trading your time for money.Â
Fast money ‘schemes’ which profess to enable you to  ‘get rich quick’ usually attempt to entice you in with claims of large earnings. After a while of working hard on something, you realise it’s not the full story. In many cases the product you bought in the first place is the only thing making money – for its owner, not you!
Get Rich Quick Ideas
Getting rich quick is a bit of a false promise. Do you really want get rich quick schemes that work? What will you do with all that money? Do you really need it? If getting rich the ultimate goal of life? What will you do with your life once you have achieved your riches? Many lottery winners find they lose their identity and become depressed. They often lose all their money (and friends) because they can’t cope with their new life. Many millionaires commit suicide. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but for many rich people their journey takes them away from what they loved about life the most.
Aligning With Your Values
Aligning yourself with your true values in life is much better than simply getting rich. Material objects can never bring lasting satisfaction in life no matter how attractive they may seem when we can’t have them. Chasing a dream of being rich can often cut you off from what you love, people who care about you and your genuine self.
By aligning with your true values you can spend each day happy and content while working on what matters to you. Being in line with your true values and living your truth is far better than being unhappy while working towards making a lot of money. ‘Get rich quick schemes that work’ may lead you to wealth, but it is also better to get there in a way which is conducive to your happiness too, rather than working for a finite goal.
Hating Your Job
Being unhappy in your job is a good example of this. Even if your job made you rich would you still pursue it knowing how unhappy it is making you? Aligning with your true values means finding a way to be happy right now, while working on your dreams too.

Before getting your hopes up about a vending machine passive income, or any other ‘passive’ income business model for that matter, remember you’re going to need to put in the work upfront. In a vending machine business this means getting everything in place before you earn a cent. This means purchasing machines, finding good placements for them, paying for stock and renting space. Learning the ropes of a vending machine “passive income” business is going to take time. It’s not a quick fix. And you’ll need to graft hard before you see any comeback.
Vending Machine Passive Income
Like many passive income ideas, the vending machine model jumps out at many people as being the ultimate in lazy income! Simply set up your machines and then travel around at the end of each week picking up your change from each machine. Or, better still get someone else to do it for you!
But remember, this business, like any other is going to take time and effort. Only once you’ve found a good placement for your machines, bought the machines in the first place, or rented them, and tested and measured various locations, will you know if your business model even works! By then you could be seriously out of pocket, too. Then you’ve got idiots like this who cost you money and require not only servicing of your machines but repair as well!
Online Vending Machine Business
An online “vending machine” works in much the same way as a physical vending machine. However, there are various benefits to starting an online business which far outweigh that of a physical vending machine business. If you’re looking for a vending machine passive income, you may be far better off if you look at the internet ‘vending machine’ business instead.
There’s no machines to buy
You don’t need to hunt for good locations
You only need a laptop and internet connection
There’s no servicing or repairs
You don’t have to physically collect the money
There’s a few other advantages to starting an online business too. A vending machine passive income, although attractive, comes with a number of chores and expenses. You need to do your homework first and lay out a good amount of cash in order to even get started.
A Digital Vending Machine ‘Passive Income’
An online business is basically the same model as a vending machine passive income business. Using a clever business model known as affiliate marketing, online business owners can sell other people’s products, without having to physically speak to anyone or even handle any products themselves. By referring people to products they can benefit from, affiliates can earn up to 40% commissions on products they sell.
Once everything is set up, much like in the vending machine business, affiliates can earn commissions from the work they’ve done previously. A typical example of an online vending machine type of business is a website which sells something. As people land on the website and make a purchase, the website owner earns a commission. Or, if they own their products they earn a profit.
What’s great about an online business is that this can all happen automatically and runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You don’t need to service your machines, empty them of change or refill them of stock either. If you sell other people’s digital products online, you are only acting as a referrer of customers. You don’t have to deal with stock or even any customers. Simply refer the customer and get paid electronically for the sale.
Setting Up Digital Vending Machines
Of course, like an physical vending machine passive income business, it takes some time to set up these systems and procedures. Setting up a website, sales funnel and range of digital products can be likened to the set up of your physical machines, products and locations for placement.
However, if you choose the right business model, you also have another massive ace up your sleeve – the global marketplace! The internet allows anyone access to a global marketplace. With a laptop, internet connection and the right products and sales system, anyone can go global with their business online. Compare this to a physical vending machine business and you’ll see the benefit.
A physical vending machine business can grow too. For each machine placement, you can earn a good weekly income. As your business grows, you can purchase new machines and place them in more locations. However, an internet business can do this too but far more efficiently.
Once you have a sales system in place, you can simply increase your marketing budget as your income grows. Testing and measuring of your marketing can allow you to make educated decisions on where to ‘place’ your advertising and which adverts are working best. Once you find this information, you can simply scale up to a larger audience.
Vending Machine Passive Income – Can Anyone Do This?
You’re probably thinking that all sounds great, but it’s something you have no experience of? Digital sales platforms and website building tools have come on a lot over the last few years. Anyone can have a website up and running within a very short amount of time, with no experience at all. Take a look at the video below by clicking the image:
As you can see in the video, it’s quite simple to get a website up and running which is fully customisable. Your website is basically your online digital ‘vending machine’ from which you can sell products and services. In order to earn ‘vending machine’ passive income from your website, there’s a few strategies you’ll need to learn.
How Online Marketers Earn Passive Income
You can earn passive income from a website like the one above. Like the vending machine model, you first need to set everything up so that the right people are in front of your digital products. First you’ll set up a digital sales funnel which you send people through from your website.
This is basically an email marketing funnel. With a range of products in your funnel, you can earn from sales made as your email list grows over time. This is all done already and you don’t need any expertise to set this all up. Once your systems are in place you’ll need a marketing ‘engine’ driving quality traffic directly into your sales funnel. Online marketing platforms allow anyone to do this. You just need to learn how.
Access an online training platform which shows you how to set all this up and how to learn online marketing to drive people to your digital products.
Does The Online Vending Machine Earn Passive Income?
So what’s passive about this online ‘vending machine’ then? Well there’s a couple of ways this business system generates a passive income for those who put the work in. Like a traditional vending machine business, there’s a fair bit of work to be put in both in setting up your business system and learning the strategies to market it effectively. But because of the automation involved in this business system, eventually, you’ll have created an autopilot money making system, of a sort!
Once you’ve learned how to send the right targeted traffic to your sales funnel (see ready made sales funnel), you can let automation do much of the work. After that, a clever business model can let you earn passive income too.
This is because of the products within this business model. The right products allow you to earn a passive income because of:
High ticket sales – allow you to earn larger commissionson each sale
Up-sells – having a range of products means you can earn later from your existing referrals. Refer a customer once, and earn commissions for potentially a lifetime.
Monthly residual commissions – Once you refer a customer who purchases a subscription product, you can earn a recurring income monthly from the commissions.
Multi-tier sales – Depending on your positioning in the business model, you can earn commissions based on the sale made by your referrals.
A built in sales team – This is a huge benefit for affiliates. Having a team of people closing sales on your behalf makes a dramatic effect on your business, without you even needing to speak to a customer.
All You Need To Do!
All of these benefits makes this a very powerful business model. In conjunction with automation and a global audience, it’s one of the most powerful systems available for anyone to join and learn how to build an online business. All you need to do is:
Set up the business system, website, sales funnel and products
Send targeted traffic to it via online marketing strategies
That’s it! However, this does take some time to learn. You wouldn’t expect to start an vending machine passive income business without any know-how either?! However, there is a community of online entrepreneurs on hand to help, and as you have seen, the technology is there to help you set up the systems in a few simple steps. For a long time I was searching for the best autopilot business ideas. I wanted a business which could sell products online over the internet. I first noticed this type of business model on ebay. I was looking to buy an ebay business model and found one with a quick search.
I then bought a model which taught a clever method of buying and selling on the auction website itself. Check it out in my article how to start a profitable ebay business.
I bought an ebook from ebay which explained how to use the above method. What struck me was the simplicity of selling a digital product. You list a product and then sell it over and over again through the same listing. This led me to research autopilot business ideas which allow you to work from your laptop from anywhere and effectively build an autopilot money making system.
Autopilot Business Ideas – Drop Shipping
Drop shipping is a similar kind of model. You simply act as the go-between for drop shipping companies. You advertise on the internet and send people to products and services around the globe. You don’t personally have to own any products or services, you simply supply the customer and collect a commission when you make a sale.
Products are delivered directly by the drop shipping companies. They even deal with customers. This can be automated by selling online and setting up automated emails and websites directing customers to the drop shipping companies.
Autopilot Business Ideas – Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a similar concept except you sell products directly over the internet. Anyone can become an affiliate marketer and again you act as a go-between for the owners of an affiliate programs. Affiliate programs can sell anything.
Amazon and Ebay have their own affiliate programs and you can simply send customers to these websites to earn commissions on sales generated. The best commissions can be made by selling digital products over the internet. Digital products typically pay you 40% of the value of any sale you make. Whereas the mark-up for physical products is much less.
Affiliate marketing uses the same model I discovered on ebay many years earlier. However, instead of creating your own products you can use someone else’s.
Autopilot Business Ideas – Creating Your Own Products
You can also create your own products and sell them over the internet through a website. Either create a unique physical product which you own or create digital products as in the case of the ebay “how to” guide I bought from the auction website. However, there is a strict limitation to creating your own products. It is much easier and can be far more profitable to use other people’s products to sell online for a number of reasons:
Choosing products which are already selling can save you heaps of time and market research. Instead of trying to sell an unknown quantity, ‘piggy back’ off someone else’s proven product range.
If you choose the right products you can make larger gains on higher value items.
It’s much more difficult to create your own high value items which have a large audience.
Creating and selling your own products is much more difficult – especially if you don’t know how to.
It’s easier to use someone else’s monthly membership products than to create your own – membership products give you monthly commissions and make an online business much more viable and stable.
You can pick products which pay you for up-sells (seminars and events which offer more value to existing customers.
Autopilot Business Ideas – The Basic Method
The basic method of selling a product online is to create a website or advert and send people into a sales funnel. A sales funnel offers pre-made products and services which are of value to your subscribers. Ideally your products should offer a range of services which increase in value starting with an ‘entry level product’. This means you can offer more value to people if they want further services.
Take the initial example of my purchase from ebay. I bought a “how to” guide for around £10. The seller could sell this guie again and again through the same listing to earn £10 for each sale. If the costs only include listing the item on ebay, (and assuming a digital download is possible), there are no postage or storage costs involved. This means most of the cost is profit. With a small item like this ebook which I purchased, there is only a small profit per item. However, if you choose to sell high ticket products you stand to make more profit for each sale. Also, as mentioned above, if you choose to sell high ticket items which also have:
Built in up-sells
Built in sales team
Membership products
Multi-tier sales commissions
You can make more per sale through multiple income streams. Each customer can potentially become a lifetime customer and you can earn an income from a sale, rather than just a small commission. This is how to build a viable and stable income from the internet. What’s even better is that this can be run from anywhere from a laptop. There’s no stock to hold and no customers to personally deal with.
This is my favourite of the autopilit business ideas mentioned here. Not only do you earn income from an initial sale, but you also earn from monthly memberships, up-sells (closed by a built in sales team) and from your team (in the case of joining multi-tier commission program).

Are you looking for nomad careers? Nomads are wanderers and as such they get bored easily in a static job or career. Do you have constantly itchy feet and feel like you have to keep moving? Here’s a few options which mean you can work and don’t have to be tired to one place.Â
Nomad Careers
Nomad Career #1 – Pilot
To become a pilot you need to do a lot of training and this can be expensive. An alternative would be to join a flight crew as a steward or stewardess. Pilots and flight crews get to travel continuously around the globe. However, they don’t always get to choose how long they stay in a place or where they go!
Nomad Career # 2
Travel Agent/Rep – Travel agents get to go abroad and stay in holiday destinations as a ‘guide’ and ‘goto’ for holiday makers. This might suit you better because it means you get to see more of a place before jetting off home, as in the case of a pilot or steward. Reps also work in local shops though so you might have to balance your travels with some ‘shop’ time. See how to become a holiday rep.
Nomad Career #3 – Traveller
‘Travellers’ love to travel and don’t mind what they do when they get there. They often pick up part time work in factories and farms picking vegetables, or even working in bars. You can also work as an au Pair or in a summer camp or resort. More details.
Nomad Career #4 – Travel Blogger
Many people become bloggers after they have chosen travelling as part of their lifestyle. They then start to write about their travels and get noticed by other travellers following their advice on hotels, b&b’s and hostels. You can also monetise your blog with adverts and affilaite marketing. I know a travel blogger who makes a regular weekly income from hotel and car rental companies simply by placing their adverts on his blogs. Every time he travels he adds photos and more information on his blogs to help other fellow travellers out.
Nomad Career # 5 – Affiliate Marketer
Become An Affilaite Marketer – Affiliates don’t necessarily need to write a blog but some affiliates do. You can create video, blog about your travels and create adverts to target a specific worldwide audience. With the right business model you can leverage the power of the internet to increase your income exponentially. This business model turns the traditional working model of 9 to 5 completely on its head. By using digital advertising you can sell online products to a global audience from a laptop from anywhere with an internet connection.
Nomad Career#6 – Work On The Cruises
Cruise workers can be away from home for long spells. If you don’t mind being on a ship and can find a suitable job which suits you, you get to travel the world and earn money at the same time. See cruise jobs for more deailts.
Can you think of any other nomad careers? Comment below with any ideas.
Anyone can learn how to start a profitable ebay business very cheaply. All you need is an ebay and a Paypal account. If you’ve already used ebay to buy and sell, or even just to buy, you’re way ahead already. The concept of this ‘system’ is simply to find items on ebay which are selling for less than their worth. You then resell them with a better listing. That’s the overview but we will be going into more detail in this article.
How To Start A Profitable Ebay Business
How to start a profitable ebay business? In this article we are going to find out! The great thing about this concept is that you can start from as little as £30. You don’t need much capital. You will need an ebay account, an internet connection and a Paypal account. If you’re new to ebay you should build up some feedback on your account. No one will want to buy from you if you have no feedback. You can start building up your feedback simply by purchasing a few items from ebay itself.
Some sellers are wary of new members who have zero feedback so start with low valued items which you will be using in your ebay business: jiffy bags, notepaper, envelopes etc. Purchasing some low value items means you can start to build up feedback on your account. If you don’t get feedback automatically you can request the seller leave you some.
You can also build up feedback by selling items from your home which you don’t want anymore. Once you have your feedback and your account set up and ready we can move on: how to start a profitable ebay business.
Finding The ‘Gold Nuggets’
Depending on your budget you can target items from £5 to £5000+, however it’s probably better to start where you are comfortable. Start with something small ideally which you know something about. You can search through ebay directly looking through the listings manually or you can use a number of tools which will make your bargain finding much quicker! Here are a few search tools which will enable you to find low priced items on ebay which you can then resell at a profit. Finding the ‘gold nuggets’ which are hidden from most ebay searches is the secret of how to start a profitable ebay business by using this strategy.
Advanced Search Tool
Use the advanced search bar (located at the top of the page next to the main search bar on ebay. Scroll down and check the box for items ending in the next hour. This can bring up items which haven’t been seen and/or are selling for less then their worth.
Use bargainchecker.com – This tool lets you find misspelled items which have been badly listed and as such gets fewer views and therefore fewer bids. Also check the box for auctions only to remove trade listed items.
Use the advanced search bar to look for items by price. Click on the box for price and put in your maximum price you want to pay for an item and minimum price to narrow down your search.
Advanced Search Tool on Ebay
Use the advanced search bar to click on auction only items. This removes the classified ads and fixed price items which can help you find the bargains.
Use the advanced tool and check the number of bids box. Enter number of bids from 0 -1 to narrow down the possibility of bidding wars and only find the least competitive items. Use this in conjunction with 1. (items ending within 1 hour)to find the least competitive items. You can also use auction only (number 4.) to eliminate fixed price items. This allows you to find the bargains more easily.
Use the location check box to find heavier items which are local to you and which are for collection only. Use the collection only check box in advanced search to find items like these.
Search for an item and then use the best match drop down menu to find the cheapest item.
Set up an email search for misspelled items. Get emails when items like this one appear in the search results.
Researching Your Items Before Buying
Remember you are buying second hand items so you will need to know what condition they are in. Ask questions to the seller to determine the condition if the description doesn’t list any imperfections. When you relist your items you will need to be honest! You definitely don’t want negative feedback or to be taking returns either, although you can offer returns to increase your chances of selling.
To reduce the possibility of problems later on list a full description including any small imperfections and marks on your items. Full disclosure will help build buyer confidence and reduce the problems of negative feedback which will harm your business.
Advanced Search Tool For Research
You can also use the advanced search tool to research items you are thinking about buying. Although it’s not a totally perfect system, you can see what other similar items have recently sold for (or not sold for).Â
Click on search and you will be able to see listings of the item you have searched for. Green indicates that the item has sold. You can also see how much items sell for in any particular area. Of course the more specific your item the better it is for you to zone in on the most profitable niches.
Bidding On Your Item
Once you have found a suitable item to bid on make sure you check out what condition it is in. Compare this to other items which have sold on ebay too and make sure you can expect a good profit margin. Look for small items which have a high value. This gives you the best chance of a profit and keeps delivery costs down.
Before you rush in a bid on your item, use this software. Auction Sniper lets you place bids at the last minute up to your maximum bid. This is a vital tool if you are taking this business seriously. If you place your bid like anyone else would you also let other bidders see that you have done so. It therefore alerts them to your interest. If they want the item badly enough they are likely to bid against you, pushing up the price. In the worst case scenario this starts a bidding war and you push the price up beyond your ability to make a profit from it.
Why Bid Early?
The time to bid early on an item is when no-one has already bid on it. The reason you would want to do this is simply to reserve the listing as it stands. If there are no bidders on an item, the owner has the chance to either remove the listing if it isn’t getting any views, or change the title in the case of a spelling mistake. By putting in a bid it stops the listing (title) from being changed and the owner cannot remove the listing. They are bound by the user agreement to fulfil the auction rules and sell to the highest bidder.
However, in most cases it makes no sense to bid early. You can push the price up and start a bidding war. Use Auction sniper to place your maximum bid – The most you are prepared to pay where you can still make a good enough profit for it to be worth your while.
How Auction Sniper Works
By placing your maximum bid into auction sniper it can help you avoid being drawn into a bidding war. You can determine how much you are prepared to spend before hand, rather than getting emotionally involved with an auction and spending more than you should. Remember we are here to make money, not just win auctions which won’t have a good mark up. Sometimes this means leaving an item if it becomes too expensive to bid. Auction sniper lets you do all this and then walk away from the auction.
The program will bid in increments against the current high bidder (if there is one), up to your maximum bid. It does this in the last few seconds of the auction. This means there is no time for reprisals from other bidders! By the time they have realised they have been outbid, there is no time to put in a counter bid, you have jumped in at the last second and sometimes will have won an auction by a tiny amount – (due to Auction snipers ability to bid by increment). This means you probably won’t pay your maximum price in many cases and will win the item for much less. Particularly if there are few bids on the item and it is badly listed.
Other Snipers
There are of course other snipers out there so beware! There’s a few people using this strategy and you will get out-sniped from time to time. Just don’t take it personally! Stick to your price and let it go if you don’t win an item. There’s always another one. Remember we want to learn how to start a profitable ebay business, not how to win auctions for the sake of it.
Relisting Your Item
So you’ve won an item and it’s arrived safely. This next step is the crux of how to start a profitable ebay business. Unless you can sell the item you have just bought for a good profit, you will be wasting your time. Buying at the right price is vital but so is your listing. Make sure it’s in good condition and you clearly describe your item, including any imperfections. Remember you are finding badly listed items to sell on and make a profit. Your best chance of selling therefore is to create the best possible listing for your item. The single most important thing about your listing it its title. The keywords in your listing title will determine how many bidders you get on your auction.
Title and Description
Get as many keywords as possible in your listing title. Look for other similar products on ebay itself to find as many keywords as possible. Don’t just list the main keywords but use the entire space available. For example, someone might list an iphone as ipone and badly spell it. When you relist it make sure to use the full description. Take a look at the picture below.
I’m not saying these are exactly the same products but you can see how a listing including the full description will attract more buyers. Some people will search for “apple”, some are looking for “iphone” and some will also search by the colour or the specifications. Make sure you have it all to attract the maximum amount of bidders. The listing below has also used the keywords “smartphone”, “unlocked” “16GB” and “space grey”. This will attract many more bidders than the listing above it which only has “iphone 4s” in its title. One of the main keys of how to start a profitable ebay business is to get your listing found by as many people as possible.
Description
Use the description also to get as many keywords in as possible. Some people will search for title and description to find items on ebay. The description also gives people reassurance about their purchase. If something isn’t specified in the description, people will look elsewhere rather than email the seller in many cases. So make sure you cover a good description of your product in your listing title and description.
Photos
Use as many photos as you can to showcase your products. Don’t use stock images unless you have a brand new item. People want to see what your product looks like and the less they have to guess, the more certain they will be of the product. Ideally you should have a well lit area to photograph your items as this will le people see them better. Dark, difficult to see items often put bidders off because they can’t properly see the item they are bidding on. This can be good when finding bargains but don’t make the same mistake.
Other Considerations
Remember we are here to make a profit. It’s well worth putting a minimum profit target on everything you sell. Don’t ‘wing it’ if you don’t think you can sell something for a profit. Some items you might lose on too, some you will break even on. The more research you do before you buy something, the greater your chances of success. Use this strategy to learn how to start a profitable ebay business. It’s not just for kicks! We need to make a profit from our efforts! As you get better at this strategy it’s also worth choosing higher valued products to make the most of your time. Your buying price needs to be where you make your money and you should knowwhen you win an item that you are going to profit from it, or are very likely to. If you’re unsure whether you will profit or not, you are gambling and it’s better not to take the risk.
Postage
You can weigh your items and charge an appropriate cost for postage or you can include postage free in the end auction price. Using free postage encourages people to put in a bid and this can encourage a bidding war which is what you want.
Starting Price
List your item at the lowest price possible. Start auctions at 0.01p. If you have listed your title and description correctly and added a full description you shouldn’t have any problems attraction buyers. By listing your item at the lowest possible price you will attract many more buyers. More people will bid because of the low price and this will encourage people to bid against each other. Don’t worry if your bids don’t come in straight away. Some people will wait until later in the auction to bid.
Returns
It’s up to you whether you offer returns on not. By listing several pictures and a full description the chance of getting a return item is reduced. Also you should be honest with any damage or marks on your item. This, again will reduce and problems with returns. Allowing people to return your item is a good idea overall as it builds customer confidence in you and this encourages more bids. You can specificy whether your customer pays the return postage costs and this can help discourage them while showing you are a considerate seller.
Examples
Misspell Search & Email Updates
Here are a few examples of how to start a profitable ebay business using this strategy. Using the Bargainchecker.com I typed laptop into the search bar and clicked through to ebay when it gave me the option. I also clicked on the auction only tab which you can see at the top of the page. You can see the listings for laptops which are missspelled. There are only 10 results.
Of course you really want to find a result like this with a very low starting price. Click on the ‘follow this search’ box and you will then get email updates whenever anyone lists a mispelling of a ‘laptop’. You can use this same strategy for any other keyword you can think of. Think of small and expensive: diamonds, rolex, omega, iphone, apple, imac, notebook, berghaus. There are literally thousands of designer names and items which you can search for.
Repair Damaged Or Broken Items
Here’s another idea which involved looking for broken items for repair. I repaired my own laptop screen fairly cheaply simply by finding a new screen and having it sent out. The repair only took a few minutes and it was as good as new. Some people sell their broken items on ebay because they don’t realise how easy a repair can be. I found these last minute laptops by doing a search for laptop and then clicking on the sort button and scrolling down to items ending soonest. However, you can search specifically for damaged or broken items (spares or repair) and fix them up to sell on. You can apply this to any item but electrical products tend to give the biggest markup and potential for repair. Other ideas are Iphones, laptops, Mp3 players, televisions, CD players, in car stereos.
Use Freecycle To Find Your Items
Here’s another great way how to start a profitable ebay business. You can use the website freecycle.org to source items for free and them list them on ebay. Sign up to Freecycle.org and see if there is one in your local area. You can also find cheap items in charity shops and car boot sales for rock bottom prices. Car boot sales are particularly good as you can knock the price down by haggling!
Finding Local Bargains
Local bargains tend to be heavy weight items like bicycles and weights benches. However, the competition is much less because people are not prepared to travel to collect them. You can find bargains like these for your own use or offer them up for sale. You can even offer to post them at the buyers expense to attract more buyers, or sell them on locally for collection only. Do a search for an item like weights bench or mens bicycle and click on advanced search at the top of the page. Then scroll down and click on “collection in person” and “Located”. Then enter your postcode and the distance you are prepared to travel for collection. There are lots of items which people don’t want to offer postage on: bicycles, weights machines, sofas, chairs, ladders, cars, stoves, tables and other furniture.
 Last Minute Items
You can also do a search for items ending within the next hour with the advanced search tool mentioned above. If you also tick the box for items with 1-3 bids you can avoid the bidding wars and find the less competitive items which either haven’t been seen properly or are less wanted for some other reason. Some items simply slip through the net and for one reason or another don’t get the attention they deserve. Of course you should still check feedback and the full description of the item whenever you decide you are interested.
Here’s another strategy example of how to start a profitable ebay business:
Job Lots
You can find job lots by either using ‘job lot’ in the search description or using advanced search and ticking the ‘lots’ box. Also search for ‘wholesale’. You can then break down the lots and sell items individually.
How To Start A Proftable Ebay Business
So by now you should have a good idea about how to start a profitable ebay business. By starting with small value items and using this method, you can then build up your confidence and start bidding on more expensive items. There are literally millions of items on ebay which have been poorly listed, some of which which end up getting no bids at all. By finding these little ‘gold nuggets’ and using the tools mentioned in this article to bid on them and then relist them, you can build a nice side income, or even turn it into a full time business.
